The solutions to our problems are within us. To access this wisdom, we need a safe space to feel accepted, seen and heard. From this, willingness and courage emerge and the process of change begins.
As a New York licensed psychotherapist practicing internationally, I work collaboratively with individuals to overcome the barriers and struggles that are holding them back. Without judgement, we explore their current situation and identify behaviors and beliefs that no longer work for them. This way of looking at ourselves is based in compassion and frees up energy for change. It offers clarity on what we truly yearn for and how to work towards manifesting what we really want in our lives.
This reflects my personal journey of overcoming the trauma of growing up in an alcoholic home and being an abuse survivor. I’ve been in twelve-step addiction recovery for over twenty-years. While working as a creative director in New York, I began facilitating recovery workshops on the side for many years. As my passion for this work grew, I decided to switch careers, get a master’s degree and become a therapist full-time.
I specialize in helping adolescents and adults overcome a variety of trauma and stress related issues including depression, anxiety, panic attacks, cutting and self-harm, eating disorders, substance use and all types of addiction. I have worked in a variety of settings in both the US and Europe and have facilitated groups on sexual abuse, sex addiction, trauma, intimacy and relationships. I also specialize in men’s work.
I utilize a combination of CBT, psychodynamic and narrative therapies and collaborate with individuals to tailor an approach that is best suited to their needs. I practice online internationally, and I live and practice in-person in Milan. I hold a Master’s in Clinical Social Work from Simmons University in Boston and a B.A. in Modern Culture & Media from Brown University.
